Transcending Philosophy

Image

We all essentially practice philosophy on some level.  Any conscious decision calls upon the basic tenets of philosophy.  For example, one’s daily diet is based on such.  Modern definitions of philosophy may carry social stigmas with them and call upon other similar terms, such as; logic, reason, and rationality.  Or, people may envision of deep chasms of thought without solution.  Others may think of ancient Greek pedophilia.  These stigmas only blind their subscribers.

Philosophy, in my opinion, is best practiced without announcing it.  A novice philosopher is likely to reach for basic syllogistic form:

1) 1 = 1
2) 1 + 1 = 2
3) Thus, 2 is a composition of 1 and 1
4) Therefore, duality (2) cannot exist without singularity (1)

This is an old form, and is a straight line to logic.  Though, it is not all powerful, nor, is it infallible.  More importantly, for most people, it’s a bit basic and overbearing in a discussion.  It has more of a peer oriented appeal as opposed to angling a public audience.

I have learned in my own practice of philosophy that, in order to be effective, its presentation must be as dynamic as the individual it reaches.  Humans are logical, yet they are also creative, emotional, and instinctual.  Also, we are much more open to persuasion than force.  A person would rather be asked than told.  If they are to be told, they will only pursue intrigue.

Relying on logic for conversation limits the scope and power of the potential range inherent within communication.  Also, we are not walking calculators – we are so much more.  The first rule is a golden one – speak to others as you would like to be spoken to.  There are three primary focuses in classic writing: Logos, Pathos, Ethos.

Logos is Greek for logic.

Pathos denotes empathy, or, emotional appeal.

Ethos represents ethics.

A writer will go far with these concepts in mind.  When combined, these components reflect a very human comprehension and appeal.  Logic appeals to the left hemisphere of the brain, composition, practical application, and reason.  Emotional value applies creativity, sensitivity, empathy, compassion, personality, heart…as well as building the foundation for the third component – ethics.  Ethical demonstration is a social facet in our communication and a display of our humanity.  Ethical values build an image comprised of integrity, honor, courage, social designation, …etc…or, may be used to portray reverse images, as well.

Logos, Pathos, and Ethos are consistently present in our conversations, regardless, whether we are voicing ourselves audibly, or in writing.

Logos – Propose the logical foundation for your writing. Pathos – lace the logic in your writing with emotional appeal – or, relation to personal meaning. Ethos – adhering logic and empathy to a social fabric and moral code.

There are a myriad of  philosophers and examples, but for this purpose, let us consider the artful form of Albert Einstein:

“When, after several hours reading, I came to myself again, I asked myself what it was that had so fascinated me. The answer is simple. The results were not presented as ready-made, but scientific curiosity was first aroused by presenting contrasting possibilities of conceiving matter. Only then the attempt was made to clarify the issue by thorough argument. The intellectual honesty of the author makes us share the inner struggle in his mind. It is this which is the mark of the born teacher. Knowledge exists in two forms – lifeless, stored in books, and alive, in the consciousness of men. The second form of existence is after all the essential one; the first, indispensable as it may be, occupies only an inferior position.”

(Albert Einstein, 1954)

Albert Einstein, the author of this excerpt, seems to leap from these lines.  There is a sturdy logical framework here, but it is laden with self reflection, introspection, profundity, wisdom, ethical ideology, creative recognition through self knowledge, displaying a personal relationship with the concepts illustrated and initiating a journey with the audience…

…to name a few components that compose enlightening writing.

More importantly, Einstein does not seem to contrive his open contemplations, here.  His honesty pours onto the page with a quiet authority grounded by the reader’s own recognition. The illustration of his self reflection is extracted through the teacher’s own rich trials of comprehension.

Notably, Einstein discusses the recipe of the “born teacher” in this dialog – and appears to be unintentionally revealing himself in the description.  One might wonder whether the professor had aimed on himself in elaborations on such ideals.  If so, it seems to exhume these notions with humility and some inherent nobility.

As with any art form, greatness is built upon the foundation of the artist’s clarity.  Beyond philosophy, beyond tradition, beyond average, more profound than logic – and into genius…

World War Reality II – Hypnotic Illusion

big-brother-obamaBarack – Grand Magician

World War Real – Part I

And from Misinformation onto Illusion…

Think on this – Illusion

Ultimately, much of what we understand to be “information,” may, in fact, be misinformation.  Information creates our own personal illusions about reality.  These illusions may be personal or social.  And, naturally, personal understanding affects an individual’s social understanding. Much like the North versus South conflict previously discussed, the conflict itself acts as a misinformation indicator.  The most heated conflicts in human interaction have political and/or religious roots.

First, let’s explore events of mass illusion.  The year was 1979, and Joe Newman presented free energy to the world with his latest “energy machine” design.  Scientists scoffed while he quickly gained popularity and reached stardom.  Despite all of the sophisticated reason scientists threw at it, people cheered Newman on.  People simply wanted to believe – and, well, they did.  Joe represented a symbol of hope.  He came from a humble background, and was a high school dropout.  Newman was the people’s hero during his moment in the spotlight – a scientific revolutionary!

With the country inspired by the free energy fire, Joseph Newman spoke of godly visions and waved Einstein’s Theory of Special Relativity around.  Newman claimed that God appointed him as “steward for his gift,”  and explained that energy is sustainable at the speed of light.  Through using Einstein’s equation and visions, Newman appealed to disassociated authorities.  This obscured any authority’s identity through the devices of a largely scientifically uneducated society, and an unknowable god.  In effect, Newman created and continued to fuel this mass illusion of hype, hope, and an American dream.

Unfortunately, hope cannot defy the laws of thermodynamics.  Law one, or Conservation, overturned any probable notion of the perpetual motion device ever creating energy.  Law two, or Entropy, shut Newman’s case down completely – As, it states that when energy is expended, there will always be a loss.  Joe always boasted of what miracles the machine could never do, nor, would he ever be able to demonstrate.  The scientific community sharply debunked Newman’s claims with what is now taught in an introductory Physics course.

Street magicians such as David Blaine and Criss Angel would later rush in once again to steal our hearts, leaving us filled with mystery and awe believing that these gurus somehow gained insight into the metaphysical realm(s).  Angel walked on water, floated from building to building, while Blaine could throw a poker card at a moving bus window and make it appear on the other side.  Blaine wrote his book “Mysterious Stranger,” only to cast more shadows over his act.  He revealed some simple “magic” tricks, but offered spiritual advice, as well – never fully uncloaking himself.  Angel landed a TV show.  Both magicians pulsed through the internet on Youtube videos.  Angel caught my eye when he walked on water.  People were swimming underneath his feet while he was crossing over a hotel pool to illustrate that there was no solid platform underneath him.

Acts like those of Blaine and Angel swept the nation because they preformed with no pre-rigged stage to assist them.  Some people were convinced that they were performing real magic because the no “smoke and mirrors” environment made their acts seem impossible.  However, their fame was short-lived, and simply exposed by critical thinkers.  Both magicians used similar methods in their performances.  They utilized the entire shroud of the internet to distract the audience.  They would perform basic tricks in front of real enthusiasts and tape their reactions.  Then, they would later return to the area and use machines, props, and other tools of their trade that would have been easily spotted by the gawking crowd, earlier.  For example, Blaine would stage a partner inside the bus to stick an identical poker card to the one he would throw at the bus on the inside of the window.  Chris angel used cranes to “levitate” from building to building.  Angel also used clear, hollow (this explains people swimming under his feet), plastic boxes to walk across the water on.

Another interesting feat is “cold reading,” and the general science of hypnosis. Both, “cold reading” and mass hypnosis exploit subconscious suggestion.  In “cold reading,” a person claiming to be a “psychic” will say a basic, and very common name aloud – asking the crowd if anyone knows a “Bob” or “Michael,” or “Susan”…etc.  An even simpler tactic just uses a letter for the read.  Naturally, a member in the crowd will excitedly jump out of their seat and give up a name that it may be.  Then the “psychic” plays off of the information given, and may “cold read” for further information.  Mass hypnosis is can be simply powered in the same manner – by an idea.

Weapons alone, do not kill people, but beliefs doHitler commanded and army with an idea. Saturated with Hitler’s propaganda, the German Third Reich society became convinced that the Jewish people killed their Lord and savior. Ready and willing, the army took up the sword of vengeance and moved on their perceived enemy. Aldolf Hitler’s tactics are sickening, but he was not the first war commander to use this method.  Not by any measure.  Information is the very fulcrum, upon which social leverage functions.  Information is the axis upon which the social world spins.  Information becomes an idea when believed in, and a force of nature when fueled by emotion.  In Hitler’s case, the emotion of love and other honorable and ethical notions were channeled into a system of ideas grounded in a pre-existing framework of the nation.  Hitler simply stoked the embers Martin Luther left behind – igniting a white hot fire, religious in nature. Did Hitler invent this form of social control? Not by any means. The ancient Mayans were convinced that the gods would not let the sun shine until a sufficient amount of human blood was offered.  The ancient Egyptians are said to have believed that their rulers were gods, themselves.  This belief fueled war and slavery alike. In his book, “The Art of War,” war master and descendant from a rich bloodline of war advisors, Sun Tzu (500 BCE), named religious faith as the “first constant.” in successful warfare:

The Moral Law causes the people to be in complete accord with their ruler, so that they will follow him regardless of their lives, undismayed by any danger.

History is rich with other examples, as well.  In conclusion – massive cultural alignment, or paradigm, is catalyzed by a very religious type of faith. In ancient tribal traditions, the spiritual advisor, or, Shaman of the tribe, was/is placed beside the King, or tribal leader.  In terms of cultural alignment, the Shaman’s advice wields the highest appeal to authority – even placed beyond the influence of the tribe’s Alpha male.  Also, another mysterious example of illusion is the Tibetan Tulpa Effect (must read – very interesting) .  All these examples denote instances, if not constants, of mass illusion – from Hitler to the tribal Shaman.

However, mass hypnosis is not so complex in models illustrating its effects on smaller group dynamics. A religious faith emotionally charges ideas, but is not the only game on the block.  Social dynamics allow for a variety of “controls.”  Peer pressure, non-religious ethically charged forms of leadership (aka – political ideologies), societal values, social deviance, in group/out group dynamism, sub-cultural facets, and other pockets of social/group motives may all be culprits of mass illusions. Yet, inducing hypnosis is as simple as planting an idea through a sleight of hand delivery – or, tapping another’s subconscious.

Current U.S. president, Barack Obama, not only monopolized on the minority vote simply by being a minority himself, but flawlessly executed other key tactics of mass hypnotism by sparking positive associations with his campaigns.  Obama demonstrated textbook propaganda techniques in wording “hope,” “change,” and his platinum hit “Yes we can!” in his speeches.  These simple techniques touched on deeper levels within the democratic identity of American policy.  Obama hit the very mark to ignite cultural alignment – And, with both tact and precision.  His win was a easy prediction to call from my perspective. Now, if only we could bet on it, haha. I could make quick and lofty financial gains every four years.  But, with all his hope preaching, the national economy still plummeted as projected, and he finished where his predecessor, George W. Bush left off.  Since then, we’ve seen criminal corporate bailouts, the passing of more laws, the unnecessary expansion of government, and…I’ll just stop there.  I do have a larger point here.

There are several options to choose from when a U.S. voter registers, but since the presidency in America was established, two primary groups have been the only players in the presidential circuit.  In the beginning, there were Federalists and Anti-Federalists.  The two groups changed their game uniforms up, and are now the Republican versus Democrat false dichotomy.  It’s amazing what linguistics can achieve.  Unfortunately, this is where class division begins.  And, by class-division, I mean social inequality.

To restate the thesis of this writing series – Misinformation instills a mass illusion creating social inequality, and thus establishes ranks of enslavement.

Social Inequality will be thoroughly discussed in the next piece of this series.  Stay tuned! Sources will be cited eventually!

Dear Religion

Image

Dear Religion,

Logic, reason, rationale…  etc.  This train is one that has come and gone for you. If the evidence for evolution is something you deny, and you have chosen a god or gods as a guiding influence in your perception of reality, then your comprehension of reality no longer requires any other substantial reason – other than sheer curiosity.

Why?

(for your curiosity)

Typically, theism comes in a package (generalizing, here):

1) Life is a divine schematic.

2) The mind of God(s), nor the mystery of his/her/the/it/their design is not something you claim to know, or understand, or else, you’d be omniscient as well, and not require religious faith.

3) Therefore, debating evolution or abiogenesis is not a wise move – as, your alternative hypothesis relies on a magical being you cannot understand, comprehend, nor explain – beyond honesty.

4) Furthermore, upon acceptance of the divine plan – your will has been entered into a contract, and is no longer yours unless you void the transaction. In effect, this also compromises any conversation with an empiricist, as they fully understand before you enter the veritable room, that your belief system is built upon the antithesis of the refined scientific aim (aka – “Scientific Method”).

After all, how can you enter a debate on the grounds of reason when you’ve already abandoned it? You’re trying to open an account with no currency to justify its existence.

Science relies on an extremely dense type of comprehension – as, its adherents maintain empirically substantiated evidence to support their worldview.  Whereas, religious faith relies only on the will of the adherent.  It must be nice.   lol

In conclusion, you chose to abandon things like reason, logic, and science.  Any empiricist you debate, relies on a level of knowledge that is bound by tenable and testable confirmations grounded in both personal discovery and a coordinated alignment with scientific comprehension to the extent it can be understood.

Ironically, both paths wind toward attaining some degree of omniscience, but essentially lead in opposite directions.  Theists believe in a bridge of understanding reality, while empiricists build theirs.

Now, I have some questions of my own:

-Why worry about what others believe if it is all part of a predetermined plan – a destiny?

…And, if you believe that your preach/dissent is part of that plan, then:

-If your god does not want to interfere with free will, why has he/she..etc. sent you to tamper with it?
(I assume that is the self-less version of your motive to debate, and/or “spread the word”)

It would be far easier to change my mind (or that of other empiricists) if your god(s) simply …showed up – And, not through you, either.  I see the same stuff you’re made of when I look into a mirror.  lol

Sincerely,

Concerned Citizen

The High Road and the North Star

see.think.

I was asked by a friend today “What gives existence meaning?

Existence?

Meaning?

In my experience, meaning is seen by the seer, measured by compass and square, eaten by the glutton, weaved by the weaver, drafted by the architect, stalked by the hunter, beheld in the light, bought by the owner, briefly grasped by the artist, drummed by the drummer, hatched by the mother, sculpted by the craftsman, thought by the thinker, constructed by the carpenter, needed by the missing, fought by the fighter, protected by the father, tuned by the mechanic, loved by the philosopher…the child whispers it in a smile, the lover embraces it with a kiss, and the state of mind reaches at association in fleeting attempts to title it. And, as if each of these hollow words could take that which hides it.

For me, it is found in walking the high road.

Life is a verb. It is alive. Never still, it is yours…and, it is mine. Only held motionless with the discipline of mind. Each moment that passes is the birth of opportunity for us.  And, when caught in the dire straight, the wealth in life passes by the you, and the I.

Walk to a point and stand where your sight is far, in a circle.  Now, pick a direction.  Someone might have told us that there is either left, or right.  Another may have taught that there is a North, West, South, and East.  Yet, the expanse of your circumference never ends.  PI shows, with its infinite hint, that no point is a true equidistant. Our directions to choose number infinity, though, even five choices are better than two.  It saddens me when each new mind sets out to reach – only to be told its arms are too short for that peach.

Some grasps at reality stick with us…..walking as ghosts along the sides of us – others, transformed by the shifting fractals of change. To know where others end and I begin is my North star.  Anything resembling meaning was first guided by this point, whether deemed as trivial when near or obfuscated by the complex and far.  Intrinsic value is the sole measure of what many call “soul.”  As, within, it is the gauge that lowers if small minded are allowed to pull you down.  The body can break.  It can fall.  It can weaken regardless of how you stand tall.  Yet, to feel words bead up and bounce off you finds the spirit unscathed extending from a self knowledge and a love known as ‘divine.’

Knowing yourself and the reach of your integrity is sourced from within and cannot be stained nor taken.  Believing in yourself and holding within – your sense of purpose, is a script of the self taught.

The pressure of the world has bound your reaction.

To some path we all slave – Let it be one we have purposefully named.

Authenticity (some original art work) – A Pioneer’s Tale

A note before you go sloshing into my word soup – Do not base your self image on what you want others to think.  That is the path to the false self. Base your self image on making others think.  Why the hell not?

Critical thinking is for those who like being right – Versus this type of free writing, which is for self expression, and possibly other fantastic goals.  That said – logic is great for troubleshooting the facets of material reality and meeting with a conclusion based on something constructed with a foundation of empirical data blessed by the scientific community.  That being said, exploring the substance in this blog is my personal journey, and some of it may be awkward to handle for the logic sticklers. If I’m currently entertaining any hard fact/logic types – If you haven’t noticed, I am now advanced in a creative direction with my work.  I don’t write that heartless junk anymore. If you need to think like a computer to feel validated – NO! Unless you belong to the Scientific Community…why?  That said – There is a honesty in this that may prove to be a rare find in your future. Give it a look.  And…maybe, you’ll find yourself flying from the inside.  If it seems like egocentrism – before leaving – the last sentence will change your mind on that.

[Art note: I usually am not original with my images.  This, I think is only one of two posted in my blog, here, that is my own work.  This blog is about authenticity, so, the other image is my work, as well.  This piece is a picture of a project made in a college design course (I took for fun).  The actual image is huge and I love it.  The assignment was to make a door reflecting our personality with clippings from magazines, and/or illustrations in books.  I liked how this turned out.  Much better in 3-D, by the way.]

The Spiral bound notes
And the Tool
Envisioned book…

The sun bleeds
To the sky look Mothers, of and by, Natural right.
And by mouth of Ein!..that Stein told of paths and said…
“Infant! Ride the light!”

Off, into the collective rise –
and by the electron field, the self authentic hawks soar.
Over the yesterday born,
tongue dumb,
in a time of lies.

Making small – the paths of might.
Those who’ve tried
To crush in white-knuckle grip.

Abysmal and into the dark
Dawn petrifying ignorance, afraid and tense.
Trifling, they surrender reason to absence.

And in,
the gardener strides
White the hawk – claws rippling by tear ripping into
A Tsunami‘s lead,

Roll the Socianic tide.
As, drops in succession, the other a cat’s foot.
The fear driven sights shake
Transparent and blind they tremble
In the Earth shattering quake.

Fear guides their reach for violence
Approaching zero degree freeze
Corroding their last neuron of sense
Failed to reach heights of sentience.

Lo

A Hawk on the fence.
Devouring, is its three tao gaze.
Timing calculated hesitance…

The mass had not before beholden, ice breathing fire.
Temperature condensing,
Yet, awareness wielding.

Mouths draw open, bound by awe.
Never before had they known kind warmth of disciplined mean…

They see human gone with drifting inertias,
Birthing an alien.
Over he would scale…
Past, the present, and future walls of men

Bolting off his perch
Set, his strike.
They thought of gods, rivaling the speeds of light.

Arrogant, they hack that cough.
Cast the angry stones by rumor.
He only brandished his strength.
Showing them something more.

A gentle kind guiding to beauties,
Only spouting from forest floors
Logic taught by the brilliance
Of legendary minds.
Transcendence, was seen as one of the fragile constructs
Eyes seated in material rhymes

Growth stunted fields open in narrow slits
Failed their see – a square type box framed by attempt at control,
The plight of an envisioned and unrealistic Earth sits
The quantum hails from beyond times before super black holes
Reality is only known as fiction and prose.

Spreading desperate stones hoping…
That they hit, daze, confuse, and disarm
Illusions spun by reflected intending
Lies tell harm and cry for shields
Atomize and saturate by misuse of hands unstitching.
Matter held by a force osmosis of the mind,
Self knowledge lacking experience and nurture kindled heart.
Sagan eloquently elaborated on this

Third Law Dynamic balanced in freeze burning temperatures
As it approaches zero.

We look for gods and heroes.
Nietzsche’s Egyptian sun being,
Fiction weaving writers think in dream.

No altruistic giant shining in benevolence.
Seeing this kind of authoring
Hope cracked like cold glass in penance.

A flower dies
Keeping her seed that yields by emulation
Emotion peeled apart

She unearths his notion
Birthing all care
Empathy released as the world’s cure by potion
Bearing symbol laden tale of a nomanclature
Weathered and scarred
Catalytic, the dying star.

Blocked, barred…ripped and marred, by terror
A heart’s emergent held and bound in a barrier.

He seeks out and draws
From broken love…surviving on…
Loathing and apathy.
Tales he tells of strengthening.

That…and, not all was lost.
In the shattering hell brought by chaos.
No dogmatic circle, but a royal bloom named Gautama,
Within the valence stream and myriad paths of light
viral power – releasing each loved idea.

He searched and once found…an Eastern light shining down.

Mothered from India.

Legends traversed from several areas, this cross a man moved by love was saddled and bore
Asia crawls with vastly different stories of this man’s lore. Some cultures practice Buddhism as theism, deism, or both… (Not Buddha’s Intention, At ALL)

He told each word about lessons discovered in seeking
Unearthed, and born into wisdom riddled lines from within.

Enlightenment found after years of a
compassion inspired need for a cure to ease the suffering…
And, all that is sentience.
Buddha and his eight fold path…
Clutching the crippled up and breathing into them, the chi..

The Alien hawk-eyed son met love
First, through a universal
Archetypal mother.  God was a shield she chose
Although she understood that no one knows…
I sought god, but he dissipated in my compassion for my mother’s life.

The story of Gautama was a path he knew based on the sight
Of his own eyes.  Within, and without. Buddha spun reality like a basketball on his finger.  He moved and it responded.

In my favorite story, Buddha (means “enlightened” one, for your information) was, in the beginning, a prince of a warrior class.  He began his journey as a naive boy sheltered from the world until he was a young man.

He never even explored his family kingdom until he was a young man.  A teen, I believe.  He, at a much more introspective age than a toddler could account for, witnessed four accounts of suffering for the first time in his life.  Long story short, he then sought answers and, through his compassion, began walking a path that would eventually wind toward his greatest teacher – The Buddha (himself ;)

He then saw Buddha and rose to fall in the throes of enlightenment.
A piece of mind does not come free, But by a freed self,
Pulled out from inner dungeons,
Entering as a child to spend time in focus
Trials filled with inner demons…some lurking around
The edges of sanity.  Falling and rising inside self chaos.
Bringing back a message for city to farm.

Opening the eye.  The sunrise within.
Becoming the center by knowing the storm.

Out of hard fought, and hard earned envisioning
Rising well within a immature ignorance
Emergent stuff that formed the path of a Master’s guiding…

Gautama lectured on the strongest of demon.
Reaching at you from self deception.
The peace comes from the battle and an evil extinct.
As with the Eastern Master, the light needs many lines to extract,
Display, and teach.

These lines differ by a few thousand years,
but the flame is moved by the same winds of intent.
He sat with his friends later scribed as followers.
The journey will be known by naming such truths.
Desire is the root of all suffering, the Eastern light shows.
These words will tell of ill adaptation. Happiness is fleeting,
Only claimed by a self lie.  Experience shows that it must not be caged.

By the moons pull, oceans age.  The ebb and flow, it will arise, then it will go.
Happiness is best known as if it were a seed – It must be planted, nurtured, and observed…
As it unfolds to grow. It is not a smile as told here.
Rather a self comprehension, warm, as the fire it grows.
If the path is traveled, only the patient desire is a prickling irritant,
Until it is consumed by awareness.  A fire that roars as the years pass.
A mere spark of your own, at first.

Analogies are seen and omnipresent. As the enlightenment yields nature as discovery.
The universe is within – as without.
Centering the self is your natural place.

Calming thunder, roaring waters, and all things chaos…
Is holding it in the “mind” sculpting your own brand of order
By redirecting, balancing, and tuning the basis.
The raw force. You must be it, as, it is already you.
Excuse the laugh, I recall being new.
A love then found in Gautama…hahahaa…
Was egotistical as, in the beginning – all that is seen
As him…is also you. You become aware when,
His fingers are, in the mind’s eye, seen
Curling around a mirror’s frame.
Jesting indeed,
Crack, goes the shell of planted seed!

Gautama, a catalysintrinsic inferno. Change sought without,
Is a treasure endeared when honestly, the change is of self.  If you seek?
These words tell of the mind being a diamond filter of reality.
Black and white, seem opposite, but zeroth law draws the balance as is seen.
Black is the blend of the entire color spectrum.
All colors contained in its identity.  Twist the angle and black may show dark green.

That depends if it’s seen. Brown, blue, red, the entire field may fan out in ominous cover,
Secret – truth is only ever what you discover. Pictures are great, but when the diamond angles,
In each new direction, new shades emerge.  New regions within may be known.

It may take a life in silence, or it may evolve as your presence.
Centering is what I understand to be my personal nirvana.
Finding silence in noise.  Seeing white in black.  Touching without feel.
A burning heart moves the feet.  A path that was a primary construct now vivid, fiery…I like the term “real”

Inside, pacing in disdain.  A wandering identity I designed to heal from a place of pain.
Catalyst was at first celebrated by a boy – immature and vain.  Buddha showed how the self might deceive.
A false illusion that may be you, and the Master will belt out a hearty chuckle. If you don’t laugh with, then have fun, because the lack of being flexibly enjoyable, will become life’s bane.
Until…you make it happen.

This tale can fill a million words onto blank pages – or, goliath truths may appear in one word.  It all swivels on the axis of perception. In these words, a brief flight is part among – this multifaceted ratchet of introspection. Define it – as is seen fit.  The path here is lit by myriad of blending color. With each inner change, reality reacts though it.  Yet, it does not control, and is not at the veritable helm. Reality does not conform like a magician’s conjure.  As, words are not going to change another’s perspective, alone.

Make authors, panthers, mimes.  Explore your subjectivity, and turn reality through it.
Raise your hand – make an objection.  After time is seen as the first sculptor, remind yourself , that all this perceived cosmic jazz comes from you. Explaining this all is no simple task, too.

The path here was paved with these very words…assigned by me to open potential worlds for you.
The door moves for neither noble, thief, magician, or weaver divine.  Now, hurredly, try your pull.

Opening the path is your first goal.  Perhaps your last.  Before surrendering you to either a curious cat, or one that claims to be valiantly honorable – Karma, as I see it, is tuned like clock work. It is a return of what is truly surrendered as an act of positive work, or relieving another’s suffering – big and small.

Practice. Patience.  Welcome.  Head down.  Now…onto other exploits of inner space…

Imagine I sew wings onto the image of me as projected by “Catalyst” …no?  Well, go find a region you can appreciate.  *pushes the ‘catalyst’ out a nearby window.
There…
Much better…lol

A flight of the catalyst
Emerging eyes shape first by a liquid ripple
Hatch the butterfly effect
Perception brought the things
Of cloak garbed myth
Spilling words of catharsis
Ground watered by an army of stripping eyes

Left naked
Defenses cracked, drained, and bled
Opening for viral hearts to seize root.
Love crippling the shrinking fears instead.
Tremor of the gardener’s quake.
The awakened rise for the take…

Adult and child spawning bonds in love
The potentialities blow the guarding fuse.
Hawk human alien reached down
And pulled through neural known habitat
Rising with an encompassing mirror…
Choked in tears…saying

“Hold strong
Master, child, your blinding fears,
Else it cover us in dark sky,
Threatening to erase depths of blue…
Don’t fear.
This is me, and I am you.”

[End Notes: Reference to “Hawks” and a “White Hawk” is actually a tug at my middle name “Whitehawk.”  References to “Catalyst” :  Catalyst was my original pen name, or, moniker, used for writing on the net.  References to “Cat” : Cat is short for Catalyst. A more endearing name closer friends called me.]

[Art Note: The is another original work of mine. Not the best by a mile, but one of my favorites.  This piece is entitled “Whitehawk” – This is my own Ubermensche.]

What is a Thought?

What is a thought?

Art by Alex Grey

At a glance, I see a few options (I dare not go much further on this one):

I could issue a palliative, and slip away.  I could begin my ascent with discussing several potentialities.  I could work on simplicity to extrapolate some form of explanatory measure.

For time’s sake, I’ll take door 3.

Firstly, for this purpose, I would hold that function is necessary to define.  I’ll work in terms of verb and noun in light of keeping it simple…

Thought:

Noun – i) A manifestation of sensory interpretation.

ii) An Induction.

Verb – An act of intrinsic projection.

A little further – What is worth thinking?  Thinking is worthy of thinking. Thinking is a form of concentration. In turn…not thinking (Zen “no mind” philosophy) requires concentration, as well.  This is action in inaction.

In conclusion, focus is the very ground that thought is built upon.  As, focus is a constant of the human condition. Focus may be honed or blunted…impulsive, emotional…erratic. It may be a weapon, a tool, harnessed, or feral. Focus may take you everywhere to dream on everything. It may also take you nowhere in the name of expedition.

What’s worth thinking?

Let’s, uh, think about it. It is your reality. Turn the question to yourself, and answer to yourself – Without holding audience.  And that… may be just worth thinking.
